Hit and Run—Aug. 29, 2:20 a.m. A 31-year-old man hit a power pole with his car, sheering it off at the base, on Budd Avenue near John D. Morgan Park. The damaged vehicle was located abandoned on Dot Avenue. During a search of the area, the individual was caught after a foot chase. PG&E secured the power pole.

Court Order Violation—Aug. 28 10:30 p.m. A woman failed to return her two children to their father on Dot Avenue. This was in violation of a court order.

Burglary—Aug. 28, 10:07 p.m. A 40-year-old woman living off Camden Avenue had jewelry and a bike taken from her home. The police received information about a possible individual who might have stolen the items. When the authorities went to the individual's resident to investigate, they found the jewelry and bike.

Fire—Aug. 28, 11:26 a.m. A young child living on Whitwood Lane was playing with a lighter in a bedroom closet and accidentally set a fire. That section of the complex where the child lives is now uninhabitable.

Theft—Aug. 27, 6 p.m.­ 8:45 p.m. A man living on Virginia Avenue had his black BMX-style bike stolen from in front of his home.

Theft—Aug. 26, 4:20 p.m. A 30-year-old man tried to switch price tags on a MP3 player in a electronics store on E. Hamilton Avenue and was caught. He was cited.

Burglary—Aug. 26, 11:30 a.m.­7:56 p.m. An unknown person broke a window at a home on S. Bascom Avenue. The person entered the residence and stole music CDs and cash.

Theft—Aug. 26, 1:30 a.m. A woman placed her backpack on a piece of play equipment at Campbell Park, and the backpack was stolen. The backpack contained a purse, money, a cell phone and other items. The individual who stole the backpack was described as a man in his 20s.
