Vandalism--Dec. 18, 11:33 p.m. A resident on Ridgeley Drive reported seeing several individuals smash the window of his parked vehicle. The individuals fled the scene in a white pickup. San Jose police spotted the truck at Lincoln and Fruitdale avenues. All three suspects were juveniles aged 15, 17 and 18. They were cited and released.
Armed Robbery--Dec. 18, 7:16 p.m. A woman withdrew money from an ATM in a shopping center. She was walking to her car when a man confronted her, saying he had a knife and would stab her if she refused to give him her cash. The woman handed the man her money. The man then walked out to Campbell Avenue and east toward Bascom Avenue. He was described as a Hispanic and in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 210 pounds and wearing dark clothing and a beanie cap.
Hit and Run-Dec. 17, 8:35 p.m. A 22-year-old lost control of his vehicle while turning west onto Hamilton Avenue from Creekside Way. He collided with another vehicle and then fled the scene. The driver who was hit complained of pain and was transported to Valley Medical Center.
TheftDec. 13, 7:40 p.m. An unknown person approached the register of a candy shop on Bascom Avenue. When the cashier opened the drawer, the man stole $100 and fled. He was described as a black male in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds with brown hair and light eyes. He was wearing blue jeans with a flannel or plaid shirt.
