Righetti is tabbed top senior in Mt. Hamilton soccer circuit

Stephanie Righetti was the best senior in the business this year, and the rest of the league agreed.
Righetti was named the Senior of the Year in the Mt. Hamilton division of the Blossom Valley Athletic League as a forward this year for Pioneer's girls soccer team.
Leigh sweeper Angela Santoro was also recognized for her skills, receiving the Junior of the Year award, and Branham's Shelby Salvacion was named the Freshman of the Year as a forward this season.
Kim Johnston and Morgan Hancock were named first team all-league for Leigh. Both girls were senior midfielders this year.
Junior midfielder Michelle Harghey was the only Branham player on the first team.
The Longhorns also had two girls named to the second team this season. Junior Meghan Maiwald and sophomore Maddy Fox both received their awards in front of the net as goalkeepers.
Senior midfielder Jenna Saenz from Branham also earned a second team spot.
In the Santa Teresa division, it was all Maricella Padilla from Del Mar. Padilla was named the MVP of the league as a sophomore forward.
Prospect also had a good showing, with both Megan Heykants and Hannah Gilbert receiving awards. Heykants was named the Senior of the Year as a sweeper, and Gilbert was the Junior of the Year as a forward.
Taylor Lundquist of Willow Glen received Sophomore of the Year honors as a midfielder. Ruby Robles earned the title Freshman of the Year for Lincoln as a forward.
The Dons, Santa Teresa division champions, had a number of players named to the all-league first team. Liz Bergscheider was named as a junior forward, Lauren Pagendarm as a junior sweeper and Ashlynn Polini as a senior forward.
Rachel Publicover and Laura Smith represented Westmont on the first team. Publicover was a sophomore forward and Smith was a junior sweeper.
Junior defender Nicole Peck and senior midfielder Emily Salciccia were both named to the first team from Prospect.
The Dons also had the most players named to the second team, including senior midfielder Lauren Idemoto, soph defender Hillary Morman and freshman goalie Suzanne Bowers.
Midfielder Nicole Bayley and defender Veronica Garcia of Westmont each made the second team as juniors.
Sophomore midfielder Kristin LaForge and senior midfielder Rachel Kullick were both named to the second team from Prospect.
