Decoy operation
nets two stores
in Campbell
An undercover sting operation conducted by Alcoholic Beverage Control sent minors into 13 businesses in Campbell and Los Gatos to see if they would be allowed to purchase alcohol. Two businesses in Campbell were cited for underage sales. The Campbell businesses that sold the alcohol to the decoys could have their licenses suspended or revoked. The individuals and businesses may also be fined.
Downtown group
wants residents
to get involved
The Downtown Campbell Neighborhood Association (DCNA) is hosting a kick-off meeting on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in the community room at the Campbell Public Library. Downtown Campbell residents are encouraged to attend.
The meeting will introduce the board of directors, bylaws and goals and purpose of the association
Light refreshments will be available from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

City clerk Bybee
is honored for
achievements
Campbell city clerk Anne Bybee received an exceptional achievement award from the California City Clerks Association. Bybee received her master municipal clerk designation from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
Bybee was recognized for her achievement at the Jan. 2 city council meeting. Margaret Roberts, vice president of the California City Clerks Association, said that fewer than 5 percent of city clerks receive the designation of master municipal clerk.
