Artist Kay Duffy demonstrates painting gouache

Residents who attend the next Campbell Artists' Guild meeting and demonstration have a chance to meet local artist Kay Duffy.

The free event takes place Jan. 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Campbell Library community room, 77 Harrison St.

Duffy will also demonstrate painting gouache on paper colored with acrylic paint, a technique she used on her trip. Gouache painting uses opaque colors ground in water and mixed with a preparation of gum. Her sketchbook/diary describing her trip will also be on display.
