Police Report

Theft--Jan. 20, 7:30 p.m. A 25-year-old took a credit card from an individual on Dillon Avenue and used it to purchase a plane ticket to Los Angeles with a connecting flight to Japan.

Prior Thefts--Jan. 20, midnight-4 a.m. A Campbell police officer observed a man and his son stealing 300 pounds of cardboard from the rear of a shop off San Tomas Aquino Road. The two individuals were placing the cardboard in a rented U-Haul trailer. At the time of the stop, the officer was unable to contact the shop manager to confirm the theft, and the father and son were released after the man returned the cardboard at the order of the police. Four hours later, the police were able to make contact with the store manager and confirmed that the cardboard thefts have been ongoing.

Public Disturbance--Jan. 19, 3:02 p.m. A 45-year-old man was causing a disturbance at a gas station on E. Hamilton Avenue. He was intoxicated.

Burglary--Jan. 19. Unknown persons removed items from a locked storage unit on E. Sunnyoaks Avenue.

Shoplift--Jan. 18, 9:40 p.m. A 14-year-old shoplifted a bottle of tequila from a supermarket on Winchester Boulevard. He was released to his mother.

Theft--Jan. 18, 6 p.m.-7:50 p.m. An unknown person broke into a 1996 Honda Civic parked on W. Hamilton Avenue and stole a purse.

Vandalism--Jan. 18, 6 p.m.-6 a.m. An unknown person spray-painted two semi-trailers parked on Dell Avenue.

Vandalism--Jan. 17, 1:20 a.m. An unknown person who was ejected from a bar in downtown Campbell destroyed the back door.

Burglary--Jan. 17, 5 p.m.-7:30 a.m. An unknown person stole tools and copper from a utility box in a truck on Dell Avenue.

Burglary--Jan. 16, 7 p.m.-9 a.m. An unknown person smashed the window of an Audi parked on Budd Avenue and took the GPS unit in the car.

Vandalism--Jan. 15, 3:46 p.m. An unknown person drove through Jack Fisher Park and damaged the turf.

Hit and Run--Jan. 15, 12:15 a.m. A woman crashed her vehicle into a traffic signal at Campbell and Union avenues. The driver and passenger abandoned the car and took off running. They were apprehended by the police.
