    ViewFinders Club

    The Cupertino ViewFinders Club will be showing the video Hijab: An Expression of My Soul at their Jan. 10 meeting, held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Rd. The video was filmed and produced by a local resident to explain the meaning of hijab, the traditional Muslim head scarf and body covering. Nonmembers are also welcome.     California Writer's Club

    The South Bay branch of the California Writer's Club will be hosting Steven Saylor, author of the Roma Sub Rosa series of historical mysteries set in the age of Julius Caesar, on Jan. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hometown Buffet, 2670 El Camino Real, Santa Clara.
