The Cupertino CourierBriefsDiversity celebration in honor of Dr. KingA wide variety of religious and community leaders are coming together this Sunday, Jan. 17, for the annual Celebration of Diversity hosted by Good Samaritan United Methodist Church of Cupertino to celebrate the birthday of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Cupertino councilman Michael Chang and leaders from the Methodist Church and a local synagogue, are among those slated to participate. In addition, the celebration features Filipino and Vietnamese dancers, drama and dance by youth from Congregation Beth David in Saratoga, and a Pacific Islander choir joined by the youth group from St. Paul's United Methodist Church in San Jose.
