    Chinese New Year Lunch

    A luncheon featuring foods from Asia will be held in honor of Chinese New Year on Jan. 29, at 12:30 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center.     Chinese Storytimes

    Chinese storytimes will be held on Jan. 24 and 31, Feb. 7 and 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cupertino Library. For more information, call 408.446.1677.

    State of the City

    Cupertino Mayor Sandra James will present the state of the city address on Jan. 31, at a luncheon beginning at noon at the Quinlan Community Center, Cupertino Room.     Spiritual Transformation

    The "Becoming Your True Self, Process of Spiritual Transformation" program will be offered on Jan. 27, from 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sunny View Retirement Home, 22445 Cupertino Road. The program will be led by Pamela Bjorklund, a psychiatrist, spiritual director and an instructor in spirituality at Santa Clara University. Open to all, the program will lead participants in learning to recognize the movement of God in the lifelong journey of transformation. Cost for the event is $35, or $17 for low-income participants.     Massage for Couples

    The Marianist Center welcomes the public to a Shiatsu massage workshop on Jan. 31, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the center, 22622 Marianist Way, Cupertino.     Mentoring Program

    The Role Model Program is looking for volunteers to deliver a fun, interactive curriculum called "Dare to Dream" to middle school students in Santa Clara County for the spring semester.     Open House

    Prospective parents are invited to attend Southbay Christian School's open house on Jan. 27, at the school, 1134 Miramonte Ave., Mountain View. A welcome to kindergarten program will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, and includes a kindergarten readiness discussion.
