Petty Theft--Jan. 14, 9:15 p.m., 20800 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The victim was eating dinner at Fontana's Restaurant. When he sat down in the booth, he placed his cell phone in his jacket pocket and hung the jacket over the back of the booth. When the victim got ready to leave, he found the phone gone. He searched the area for the phone but didn't find it. The victim contacted his cell provider, which requested a police report and canceled the phone number. The victim was unable to provide any suspect information and did not know the serial number of the phone.

Grand Theft--Jan. 14, 11:30 a.m., Vallco Fashion Park. Between Jan. 7 and Jan. 11 a lady's diamond and ruby ring was taken from a locked glass case inside the US Antiques store. Vallco Security detained the male and called the sheriff's office. A deputy responded and made contact with four security officers. The deputy contacted the male, who told him he had, in fact, urinated on the building and was sorry, but he did not know where the bathrooms were.

Possession of False ID--Jan. 16, 11 p.m., at Foothill Expressway and Cristo Rey Drive. A deputy detained a vehicle for failure to stop at a red light. Upon contact, the driver verbally identified himself. The deputy asked for picture identification and as the driver looked through his wallet, the deputy noticed identification that resembled a California driver's license. The officer found that the driver had a false California driver's license and improper license plates. The deputy confiscated both the card and the plates.
