    Adult Softball

    The Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department is currently holding registration for the spring and summer league adult softball season.

    Openings remain in the men's D-2 leagues on Mondays and Tuesdays, the men's C-3 league on Wednesdays, the men's D-1 league on Thursdays and the competitive coed league on Fridays.

    The season begins in April, and the cost is $540 per team (plus $10 for each non-resident) for the 12-game season, plus playoffs.

    Softball Sign-ups

    The Cupertino American Little League board recently voted to add a girls softball program for the 2002 season. Girls ages 5-18 are encouraged to sign up.     Athletic Scholarships

    The annual "Will to Win" Asthma Athlete Scholarships will return this year, offering $100,000 in scholarships to 11 high school seniors "who have excelled in athletics in spite of the challenge of asthma."

    Information on the national scholarship program is available at www.thewilltowin.org or by phone at 800.558.7305. The deadline for entries is April 30, 2002, and winners will be notified by June 2002.
