    McAuliffe student's health improves


    On the campus of Christa McAuliffe Elementary School in Saratoga, 7-year-old Richie Ang is participating in a Valentine's Day party with his classmates. Richie, who suffers from a benign, inoperable brain tumor, has recently rejoined his classmates full-time after six weeks of radiation therapy that began Nov. 30. Today is particularly joyous, due in no small part to the copious amounts of chocolate cupcakes, cookies, jiggly Jell-O hearts, licorice and candy. He is overjoyed to be back in his nurturing first-grade environment, with his friends, his playground, and today, his assorted box of valentines.   More
