    YMCA programs


    The Northwest YMCA is now accepting signups for indoor soccer, basketball and roller hockey.

    The winter indoor soccer program for boys and girls ages 3-7 begins March 20 and runs through April 24. Games are played on Saturdays, noon-2 p.m., and the registration deadline is March 12.

    Youth basketball for boys and girls in grades 4-8 begins March 20 and runs through May. Games are played on Saturdays beginning at 9 a.m., and the registration deadline is March 12. The cost is $72 per player, and a $25 YMCA membership is required. Volunteer coaches are also needed for the youth basketball league.

    Roller hockey play for boys and girls in grades K-8 begins April 10 and runs through June 12. Games are played on Saturdays, and the registration deadline is April 2. The cost is $67 per player, and a $25 YMCA membership is required. Volunteer coaches are also needed for the yough roller hockey league.

    The YMCA also offers a pee wee floor hockey instructional program for boys and girls ages 3-5. Classes run April 10-June 12.

    There are no standings, try-outs nor scorekeeping in the YMCA programs, and all children play. For more information, call Matt Klock at 257-7160, ext. 19.
