College center holds free SAT II testing
Insight College Prep Centers will hold free diagnostic testing for the SAT II Subject Tests for high school students every Saturday in March. High school students in grades nine through 12 will be given an assessment of their weakest and strongest areas, an estimate of how much they can expect to increase their score with continued preparation, and suggestions on how they can study independently to improve their score. All instructors are Stanford graduates and will help students in the college admissions process.

The Flint center presents several performances by comedian Rob Becker
The Flint Center presents Rob Becker's one-man show, Defending the Caveman, March 7 through 10. This longest running solo play in Broadway history is an exploration of the gender gap.
Becker was born in San Jose, attended San Jose State University and studied drama at Santa Rosa Junior College, and acting at Redwood Empire Acting Studio. In 1981, he started doing stand-up comedy in San Francisco, six years later performed on Late Night with David Letterman and he also began writing Defending the Caveman.
The show opens at the Flint Center on March 7 at 8 p.m., with performances on March 8 at 8 p.m., on March 9 at 2, 5 and 8 p.m., and on March 10 at 3 p.m.

Cupertino resident makes dean's list at Marymount
Jazmine Reyes Dugall of Cupertino was awarded a certificate of achievement and was among 354 other students at Marymount Manhattan College who were named to the dean's list for the fall 2001 semester. The urban, independent liberal arts college has 2,600 students. It promotes intellectual achievement and personal growth and provides opportunities for career development.
Homestead High presents 'Rumors' by Neil Simon
Homestead High School Theater Arts Department presents Rumors by Neil Simon on March 7, 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. and March 10 at 2 p.m. The play centers on the hilarious interaction of four couples and their response to gossip and small crises. The setting is a dinner party in an upscale home on the outskirts of New York City.
