    Besler's 50th

On May 6, 2000, Pauline and R. Victor Besler will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. The Beslers have lived in Cupertino since 1974 and are members of the St. Joseph of Cupertino parish. Pauline worked as a real estate broker for 25 years in the Santa Clara Valley. She retired when the PINE realty office in Cupertino closed. Victor served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years before retiring at Moffet Field. He then worked at FMC Corporation before retiring a second time after 20 years of service.

Pauline and Victor met while both were in the Navy and stationed at Patuxent River Navy Air Station in Maryland. The two met on a blind date, and the rest is history. They are the parents of two children, Chris and Suzanne.
