Youth football sign-ups

The Cupertino-Sunnyvale Pop Warner football organization will hold sign-ups for players ages 7-15 on March 14, April 18 and May 16, 9 a.m.-noon each day, at Fair Oaks Park in Sunnyvale. For more information, call 737-9654.

Girls' basketball camps

A series of girls' basketball camps will be held at Santa Clara University this summer with sessions starting June 6 through July 31. For more information, call Shaunice Warr at 554-4567.

Nothing But Net

Bud Ogden's Nothing But Net instructional basketball league spring season begins March 21 at West Valley Community College in Saratoga.

The league is open to boys and girls in grades 3-11, and games are played on Saturdays and Sundays at West Valley.

RT Spring League

The annual RT Spring League basketball program, which features games, clinics, contests and tournament, will hold sign-ups and mandatory orientation sessions every Sunday, 3 p.m. or 5 p.m., through March 13 at Del Mar.

Youth roller hockey

The Northwest YMCA is currently holding registration for its youth roller hockey league season.

The league is open to boys and girls in grades K-8, and the season runs April 11-June 13. Games are played on Saturdays with a one-hour practice to be held on a weekday evening. The cost is $65 per player, plus a $20 membership to the YMCA.

The league stresses fundamentals. No scores or standings are kept, and every player is guaranteed to play one full period per game.

In addition, the YMCA offers a pee wee floor hockey instructional program for boys and girls ages 3-5. Pee wee hockey is conducted in a class format, and classes begin April 11. The cost is $65 per player.

The league also needs volunteer coaches and paid officials for the coming season. No experience is necessary, and the YMCA will provide an extensive training program for each position. Officials are paid $6-$7 per hour.
