The Cupertino CourierSheriff's ReportThe following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation. Residential burglary--March 4, 5 p.m., 7000 block of Squirehill Court. An unknown suspect or suspects entered a home through an upstairs window. Two bedrooms were ransacked. A CD player, a boombox, two laptops worth $1,000 each and miscellaneous jewelry were stolen. Possession of cocaine--March 5, 9:25 p.m., 20800 block of Valley Green Drive. A man was arrested for possessing a small plastic bag of cocaine. Residential burglary--March 6, 10:30 a.m., 22000 block of Rae Lane. A woman reported that items she was storing in her garage are now missing. She had been in the process of moving and did not notice the items were missing right away. The total value of the items is estimated at $4,285. Auto burglary--March 8, 8:45 a.m., 19000 block of Bixby Drive. A victim reported that his Volkswagen bug was burglarized. The left rear window of the car was pried off. The victim said approximately $1,500 in stereo equipment was stolen. Auto burglary--March 9, 9 p.m., 19000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. A suspect broke the driver's door window of a car and attempted to remove the stereo from the dashboard. There were pry marks on the outer top edge of the stereo's housing unit. The suspect took approximately 10 music CDs. Possession of methamphetamines/under the influence--March 10, 2:33 a.m., corner of Homestead and Wolfe roads. A deputy stopped a car for driving through a red light and having expired registration tags. The driver displayed symptoms of stimulant usage and was arrested. In her purse was a canister containing a whitish powder that later proved to be methamphetamine.
