    Golf Tourney

    The Monta Vista High School Athletic Boosters Club will host a fundraising golf tournament on April 28 at the Shoreline Golf Course in Mountain View. The entry fee for the tournament and dinner to follow is $110. Additional dinners are priced at $15 each and the cost for a hole sponsorship is $100.

    Hey, Coaches!

    Athletic directors at area high schools were recently sent packets to distribute to spring sports coaches. In the packets were questionnaires for coaches to complete, along with letters requesting information, rosters and schedules for the upcoming 2002 season.

    Coaches are encouraged to return the information to the newspaper as soon as possible so that we can begin coverage of the spring season. For additional information, call Dick Sparrer at 408.354.3110, ext. 31.

    Adult Softball

    The Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department is currently holding registration for the spring and summer league adult softball season.

    Openings remain in the men's D-2 leagues on Mondays and Tuesdays, the men's C-3 league on Wednesdays, the men's D-1 league on Thursdays and the competitive coed league on Fridays.

    The season begins in April, and the cost is $540 per team (plus $10 for each nonresident) for the 12-game season, plus playoffs.

    Softball Sign-ups

    The Cupertino American Little League board recently voted to add a girls softball program for the 2002 season. Girls ages 5-18 are encouraged to sign up. For more information, call 408.205.4329.
