    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Auto Burglary--March 4, 10:55 a.m., 21200 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. A black leather purse was stolen from a car in a local community college parking lot.

    Grand Theft--March 7, 10:30 a.m., 10000 block of Bubb Road. A telecommunications company reports $11,775 worth of telephone systems stolen.

    Assault and Battery--March 7, 6:30 a.m., 22300 block of Homestead Road. Two roommates argued over a bill, and one struck the other with an open hand twice.

    Mail Theft--March 6, 11 a.m., 10100 block of Mary Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) pried open mailboxes at an apartment complex.

    Stolen Vehicle--March 5, 3:30 p.m., 21250 Stevens Creek Boulevard. A Honda Accord was stolen from the parking lot of a local community college.

    Stolen Vehicle--March 5, 2 p.m., 21250 Steven Creek Boulevard. A Honda Prelude was stolen from the parking lot a local community college.

    Commercial Burglary--March 5, 10:15 a.m., 20000 block of Bollinger Road. Someone broke into a restaurant and stole the drawer to the cash register and the tip jar.

    Sounding False Fire Alarm--March 8, 11:20 a.m., 10100 block of Finch Avenue. A teacher witnessed a student pulling a fire alarm, which resulted in the school's evacuation.

    Mail Theft--March 7, 9:50, 10100 block of Parkwood Drive. The victim has not received her utility bills or payroll checks from her employer.

    Burglary--March 7, 4:55 p.m., 21800 block of Eaton Place. A suspect entered the home and took a laptop computer, a digital camera, a Tivo box, and an ATM card.

    Assault and Battery/Hit and Run--March 8, 2:25 p.m., Foothill Boulevard at Poppy Drive. The victim was run off the road and assaulted by the driver of another car.

    Robbery with a Handgun--March 9, 3:15 p.m., 20500 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. A suspect (unknown and at large) robbed a bank with a gun wrapped in newspaper.

    Assault and Battery--March 8, 1:55 p.m., 800 block of Bubb Road. A student at a junior high school assaulted another, resulting in facial abrasions and a mild concussion for the assaulted student.

    Attempted Burglary--March 10, 9:40 p.m., 20100 block of Apple Tree Lane. Unknown suspect(s) broke into a home and searched it, but no property has been reported stolen.
