    Pop Warner Football

    Colt League Ball

    The Sunnyvale-Cupertino Colt League is currently holding registration for players ages 15-16. Tryouts will be held April 28, 9 a.m., at Ortega Park. For more information, call 408.245.7669.

    Football Clinic

    Professional and college football coaches will be the featured speakers at the Football Clinic of Champions on March 24, 11:30 a.m., at Mountain View High School.

    Gil Haskell, offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, and Al Saunders, receivers coach for the St. Louis Rams, will top the list of speakers who will each give a 50-minute presentation. Haskell was a member of the Green Bay coaching staff when the Packers won the Super Bowl in 1997, and Saunders worked on the staff for the Rams when they won the Super Bowl in 2000.

    Rounding out the lineup of speakers will be Neal Zoumboukos, assistant head coach at the University of Oregon; Doug Cosbie, head coach at Menlo College and former All-Pro tight end for the Dallas Cowboys; and Fitz Hill, head coach at San Jose State University.

    The clinic is targeted to high school and youth football coaches but is open to the general public. The cost is $35 per person or $30 each for groups of five or more. The clinic runs to 5 p.m.
