    The Traveling Trunk

Historical society brings portable exhibit to Cupertino schools

The Traveling Trunk, a portable display of everyday objects from 60 to 100 years ago, demonstrates what life was like when orchards covered the valley. The Trunk started more than 20 years ago when a West Valley historical society didn't have its own museum to display all the antique objects donated by local families over the years. Now, volunteers from the society visit schools, senior centers and day care centers to make presentations, sharing stories and items from the Trunk with an estimated 1000 children and adults a year.   More
