    Looking for former football all-stars

In the summer of 1974 a football game called the Santa Clara County All-Star Bowl debuted on the turf at San Jose State's Spartan Stadium.

Now known as the Charlie Wedemeyer All-Star Football Game, returns this summer for its 25th anniversary game.

To celebrate the event, game organizers--the Almaden Valley Rotary Club--invite all former all-star players and coaches to attend this year's game, set for Friday, July 23, at Spartan Stadium.

For more information on the anniversary game, and for former players and coaches to reserve their place at the event, write to All-Star Events, P.O. Box 20933, San Jose (95160), or send a fax to 268-2960.
