    Symphonic band presents annual spring concert

    The Cupertino Symphonic Band presents its annual Spring Concert April 14 at 3 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center. The program will include light classics, show tunes and concert band selections. Soloists from the band and the saxophone quintet will be featured.

    Program in search of more mentor volunteers

    The Role Model Program seeks positive adult volunteers to be a mentor for an elementary or middle school classroom by making four, one-hour interactive presentations inspiring students to "dare to dream." Hours are flexible to suit your workweek. The program services schools in Cupertino.

    The program is a nonprofit organization that empowers at-risk students to achieve academic excellence and personal success through interaction with positive adult role models in elementary and middle school classrooms.

    Montalvo to hold two champagne brunches

    The Montalvo Service Group will hold champagne brunches on March 31 and May 12 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The brunch on March 31 is an Easter brunch featuring an egg hunt for children 10 and under. Pat Smith's Extravaganza caters the brunch buffet.

    Reservations are required by March 24 and May 5. Montalvo is located at 15400 Montalvo Rd., Saratoga. For tickets and more information, call 408.961.5823. Ticket prices are adults $42, children 22 and under $22; infants ages 3 and under are free. Proceeds benefit Montalvo, a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to inspire a love of the arts in everyone through creation, education and presentation.
