    AYSO Soccer

    Youth soccer registration will be held in April for Cupertino boys and girls ages 5-18 interested in playing in AYSO Region 35 in the fall season.

    Sign-ups will be held at the following locations: Creekside Recreation Center, 10455 Miller Ave.--April 4, 4-8 p.m., April 10, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and May 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road--April 27, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

    Players should provide a copy of their birth certificate for age verification.

    The Cupertino league supports the goals of the AYSO by providing balanced teams, open registration, positive coaching and an emphasis on sportsmanship and participation. Everyone plays in AYSO soccer, and in Cupertino that means three quarters of every game, according to league official Ingrid Noone.

    Baseball Camps

    Santa Clara University will hold youth baseball camps for Little League age players April 9-11 and April 16-18. The camps will cover hitting, pitching and defense. The cost for the camps, which will run from 9 a.m. to noon, is $100. For more information, call 650.207.8665.

    Golf Tournament

    The Monta Vista High School Athletic Boosters Club will host a fundraising golf tournament on April 28 at the Shoreline Golf Course in Mountain View. The entry fee for the tournament and dinner to follow is $110. Additional dinners are priced at $15 each and the cost for a hole sponsorship is $100.

    Softball sign-ups

    The Cupertino American Little League board recently voted to add a girls softball program for the 2002 season. Girls ages 5-18 are encouraged to sign up.     Annual run

    The 12th annual LSI Logic Class Run 10K run and 5K run/walk will be held April 14, 9 a.m., at 1501 McCarthy Blvd. in Milpitas. The registration fee is $20 before April 7 or $25 on race day.
