Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Auto Burglary--April 9, 3:15 p.m., 7500 block of Kirwin Lane. Unknown suspects punched out the lock of a toolbox that is attached to the back of a truck. They took some hand and power tools. The victim reported a total loss of $770.
Theft by Credit Card--April 8, 2:45 p.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. The victim reported that someone had used her bank card number to make a purchase of about $229 at a local retail store.
Commercial Burglary--April 8, 7:30 a.m., 20900 block of Homestead Road. A citizen reported the front door window of a local food store was broken. The owner of the store confirmed that $450 had been taken from the cash register.
Auto Burglary--April 7, 6:30 p.m., 20200 block of Lucille Avenue. Someone broke the left rear window of a vehicle with a "for sale" sign and took its pullout stereo. The vehicle has been parked at the spot for about two months.
Grand Theft--April 6, 10:30 a.m., 1300 block of S. De Anza Boulevard. An outdoor patio two-seat chair was stolen from a local store. The suspect(s) gained access by cutting the security chain. The reporting party estimated a loss of $500.
Residential Burglary--April 5, 9:55 a.m., 19400 Calle de Barcelona. A homeowner reported that someone had entered her house through its master suite window. Her jewelry, coins, birth certificate and credit cards were missing.
