    Annual city picnic celebrates purchase of Blackberry Farm


    Although the skies were cloudy over Blackberry Farm last Saturday, the weather stayed dry for the city's eighth-annual Cupertino Day. The annual picnic is a reward for residents, who approved a utility tax that allowed the city to buy the 32-acre park (including the golf course) for $18 million in 1991. Since 1992, Blackberry Farm has kicked off its May-October season every year by setting aside a Saturday to say thank you to residents.   More
