    Blaschke honored

    Cupertino senior Kerry Blaschke was among the All-Central Coast Section and Parade All-American soccer players honored in a special halftime ceremony during the San Jose Clash-Dallas Burn game on April 30 at Spartan Stadium.

    Blaschke was one of the talented area players named to the All-CCS girls soccer team following an outstanding winter season.

    Baseball School

    The annual Santa Clara Baseball School returns to the Santa Clara University campus this summer under the direction of Broncos head coach Mike Cummins and assistant coach Lou Lucas.

    Camps are open to players ages 9-16 and feature individualized instruction in defense, base running, sliding and hitting. There will be video analysis of each player, and each player will receive a camp T-shirt and be eligible for prizes in camp contests.

    The cost is $110 for the complete camp, and $60 for the pitching only or hitting only camps. For more information, call 554-4680 or 267-3831.

    AYSO signups

    Cupertino AYSO will hold its final walk-in registration for the fall season on May 27, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Quinlan Center. The registration fee is $65 per player, but there is a same-family-sibling discount.

    The registration deadline is June 15. After May 27 the player fee is $85. Players must provide proof of medical insurance and also a doctor's phone number at the registration. New players must also provide a birth certificate.
