    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Embezzlement--July 27, 6:05 p.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. The victim employed the suspect, who allegedly made $2,600 in fraudulent transactions and kept the money.

    Grand Theft--July 27, 12:50 p.m., 20300 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. A bicycle was stolen from an apartment's parking garage.

    Grand Theft--July 28, 8:20 a.m., 20300 block of Pruneridge Avenue. A bicycle was stolen from outside the victim's first floor apartment.

    Identity Theft--July 24, 9:30 a.m., 11000 block of Northsky Square. Someone used the victim's personal information to apply for credit.

    Identity Theft--July 23, 4:40 p.m., 22700 block of Alcalde Road. Someone used the victim's personal information to open a credit card account.

    Grand Theft--July 23, 2:40 p.m., 20700 block of Valley Green Drive. A laptop was stolen from the victim's workstation.

    Commercial Burglary--July 23, 8:20 a.m., 10300 Torre Avenue. Someone broke into a dentist's office and stole two 5-foot tanks full of nitrous oxide.

    Counterfeit Bill--July 24, 11:35 a.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. A cashier accepted a counterfeit bill.

    Grand Theft--July 24, 10:30 a.m., 19600 block of Pruneridge Avenue. Two bikes were stolen from a bike rack.

    Burglary--July 26, 9:10 p.m., 10000 block of Congress Place. A visitor from Taiwan had her luggage searched and her wallet and watch stolen while staying at a friend's house.

    False Report of a Bomb--July 26, 3:40 p.m., 18900 Forge Drive. Unknown suspect(s) sent an email to a company warning of a bomb in the building. Investigators found nothing when searching the area.

    Burglary--July 25, 8:55 a.m., 19500 block of Pruneridge Avenue. The victim's bike was stolen from an underground parking lot.

    Commercial Burglary--July 30, 12:45 p.m., 10500 block of N. Tantau Avenue. Someone broke into an unoccupied business.

    Vehicle Theft--July 30, 11:30 a.m., 20300 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. A florist reported that an employee stole his delivery van.

    Residential Burglary--July 30, 6:30 p.m., 20600 block of Forge Drive. The victim came home and noticed her apartment had been ransacked and several items taken.

    Residential Burglary--July 30, 5:45 p.m., 20600 block of Forge Drive. In a separate incident, another resident came home to find their apartment ransacked and items stolen.

    Residential Burglary--Aug. 1, 11 a.m., 6400 block of Myrtlewood Avenue. The victim reported a bike stolen from his garage.

    Grand Theft--July 31, 11:30 a.m., 1500 block of S. Stelling Road. The victim says someone has charged several transactions to his bank account.

    Residential Burglary--July 31, 8:25 a.m., 10700 block of Linda Vista Drive. The victims were asleep when someone entered their house and stole a briefcase with cash, checks and credit cards.

    Residential Burglary--July 30, 10:30 p.m., 11000 block of Firethorn Way. An unknown suspect took a handgun from a dresser drawer.

    Burglary--Aug. 2, 4:45 p.m., 10000 block of N. Foothill Boulevard. Suspect(s) took high-pressure oxygen and nitrous oxide tanks from a veterinary clinic.

    Burglary--Aug. 3, 9:30 a.m., 10100 block of Finch Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a soda machine at Cupertino High School.

    Counterfeit Bill--Aug. 4, 12:25 a.m., 10300 block of N. Wolfe Road. Suspect(s) passed a bogus $100 bill at a local restaurant.

    Battery with Injury--Aug. 4, 12:15 a.m., Santa Clara Avenue at University Way. The victim alleges that someone hit him in the head, knocking him unconscious.

    Grand Theft--Aug. 4, 6:35 a.m., 10500 N. De Anza Boulevard. Suspect(s) stole items from the bed of a truck.
