Ken Einhouse and Dorothy Miller cool off by enjoying ice cream cones. As temperatures reached the mid- to high 70s, cold beverages, snow cones and shave ice were also used to beat the heat.

Humans are not the only ones drawn to the festival. Moochie and her greyhound friends made an appearance at one of the two greyhound rescue booths.

Jacob Young, 5, concentrates as he participates in the ring toss game. The ring toss was just one of the many games available for children in the Kid Zone.

Six-year-old J.J. Stover finally catches one of the balloons flying around his head. The festival included several activities geared toward children including two Astro Jumps and a petting zoo.

Richard Lowenthal, candidate for City Council, is a little too confident that he will remain dry as he wears a suit into the dunk tank. Lowenthal and other Cupertino celebrities participated in the wetting, which raised money for The Zone, Abundant Life Church's summer skateboard and rollerblading park for teens.
