    Sweet shots

    Basketball players will learn better shooting techniques at the Sweeten Your Shot Camp at San Jose Christian College. Camps are slated for Nov. 5, 5-8 p.m., and Nov. 6, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., for players ages 10-18. The cost is $35. For more information, call 408.278.4381.

    Run for the Law

    Run for the Law, a 5K walk and 10K run, will be held Nov. 7 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the West Valley Courthouse, 14205 Capri Drive in Los Gatos.

    The entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on the day of the event. The race will also feature a special corporate challenge.

    The courthouse is located on the corner of Capri and Knowles, one block north of Winchester between Los Gatos and Campbell.

    Youth basketball

    Cupertino Hoops offers a basketball program for players in grades 7-10. Signups will be held Nov. 3, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at the Quinlan Community Center in Cupertino.

    The season runs from Nov. 29 to March 4 with games played at Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. For more information, call Joe Bagliere at 408.867.9810 or Judy Sheade at 408.255.5276.

    Competitive diving
