Retired and active firefighters bid farewell to historic firestation

Firefighters past and present swap stories at barbecue honoring fire department's original building

Firefighters both past and present gathered at the station to enjoy a barbecue put on by firefighters from Local 1165, the Santa Clara Firefighters' Union. Since the new station next door has been completed, the old station will soon transfer operations to the new building. The fire department will then demolish the old station to make space for an entrance to the newly constructed one.   More
