Toys for Tots Run

The Toys for Tots Turkey Trot returns to Moffett Field on Nov. 21, 9 a.m. Entrants can run or walk either the 5K or the 10K event that will begin at Hangar One at Moffett. The cost is $20, and race day registration begins at 7 a.m. Group and family discounts are available. For more information, call 286-6501.

Baseball camps

A series of Stanford holiday baseball camps will be offered in November and December.

Hitting and defensive instruction will be offered over Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-29, and there will be pitching, hitting and defensive camps over Christmas vacation on Dec. 20-22 and Dec. 27-29.

The camps are open to players ages 13-18, and the cost is $100 per session.

Christmas Classic

The Christmas Classic, a basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades 7-8, will be held Dec. 18-20 in San Jose. The entry fee is $100 and the registration deadline is Dec. 1. Alumni football

A group of former high school football players is looking to start a full-contact football league.

Former players for Los Gatos, Saratoga, Cupertino, Leigh, Monta Vista and Homestead high schools are encouraged to play. Call 831-464-0738.

The Northwest YMCA is looking for paid officials for the upcoming winter basketball league season. No experience is necessary, and training is available through the YMCA. Games are played Saturdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., from Jan. 9 through March 14. Officials must commit to the entire season, and officials are paid $6-7 per hour, based on experience.
