    City swears in new mayor and vice mayor

    Sandra James, Richard Lowenthal take on new positions


    The city swore in its new mayor, Sandra James, and vice mayor, Richard Lowenthal, in front of a full house in the council chambers at city hall on Nov. 14. The city council unanimously elected James mayor and Lowenthal vice mayor, with each abstaining from their respective elections. James says her goals will include involving more young people in municipal government and promoting school and government interaction.   More
