    KKUP's World Music Festival

    Annual marathon celebrates musical diversity, raises funds for noncommercial radio station


    KKUP 91.5's 16th annual World Music Festival, which ran from Nov. 22 to 26, raised around $9,000 for the station, surpassing the original target of $7,000. The 103-hour music marathon/fundraiser featured in-studio performances by some of California's premier international musicians. The event also featured interviews, hard-to-find recordings and live concert tapes of music rarely heard on the radio.   More
