    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Grand Theft--Nov. 7, 8:50 a.m., 10000 block of Miller Avenue. The victim left an unlocked vehicle parked in an alley behind a residence. The next morning the victim found the car had been ransacked and several items taken, including a digital camera worth approximately $900.

    Residential Burglary--Nov. 7, 8:30 a.m., 1000 block of Kentwood Avenue. The victim was awakened from sleep by an unknown noise. Victim fell back asleep without investigating, later finding out the residence had been broken into and a wallet and purse were taken. The unknown suspect gained entry by removing a windowpane from the rear family room door.

    Auto Burglary--Nov. 8, 4:40 p.m., 10000 block of N. Stelling Road. An unknown suspect pulled the window away from a car doorframe to gain entry to a vehicle. The car stereo, speakers, a jacket, hat, blanket, compact discs and tools were taken from the vehicle.

    Auto Burglary--Nov. 9, 9:15 p.m., Infinite Loop. Unknown suspect forced down a partially open window and took the victim's car stereo and vehicle jack.

    Vandalism--Nov. 9, 10:40 a.m., 21000 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. The victim went to her vehicle, which was parked where she worked, and discovered that the driver's door window was broken and a large rock was sitting on the driver's seat. Nothing appeared to be taken from the vehicle.

    Commercial Burglary--Nov. 9, 8:10 a.m., 1400 block of S. De Anza Boulevard. A local nursery was broken into and several garden items were taken. When arriving at work, an employee spotted a female suspect leaving the area on a bicycle. The loss is estimated at $250.

    Auto Burglary--Nov. 11, 5:30 a.m., 20000 block of Valley Green Drive. An unknown suspect broke the front passenger window of the victim's vehicle and took the stereo system, which was mounted in the dashboard.
