Nearly two dozen residents make the UCSB dean's list

For the 2001­02 spring quarter, 22 students from Cupertino have been selected for the dean's list at the University of California, Santa Barbara. All selected students have attained the qualifying grade point average of 3.75 on a program of 12 or more grade units in the college of letters and science or 3.5 in the college of engineering.

The selected students are Kayoko Akabori, Eric Jen-Ming Chuang, Danielle Elana Katz, Kelly True-Ling Liaw, Wen-Yao Lin, Christopher Curtis Mason, Cari Lynn Nicholson, Edan David Raviv, Matthew Mao-Phan Sun, Gina Sverdlov and Amy Suzanne Vanmunn.

Monta Vista alumnus wins award at USC

Lisa Catherine Esquivel, a former Monta Vista High School student, has been recognized by the University of Southern California School of Fine Arts for her outstanding scholastic achievement. She is on the school's spring 2002 dean's list, which honors students with a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
