Sheriff's Report
Employee Theft—Sept. 6, 9:30 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A local retail store reported a theft by one of its employees. Since July the suspect has been creating vouchers for himself and using them with his discount number to purchase merchandise. Store security stated that they have numerous transactions on video. Security video also documented a "voucher report" that showed five vouchers valued at approximately $670 and redemption totaling around $480. The suspect, has been booked into the county jail.

Fraud—Sept. 4, 8 p.m., Shadygrove Drive. The victim's credit card company informed her that an unknown suspect had attempted to use her credit card to withdraw approximately $750. The victim said that all her cards are accounted for and that she had not given anybody permission to use any of the cards.

Missing Person—Sept. 4, 2:45 p.m., Northglen Square. A citizen reported that her daughter was missing. Her family and friends have not seen her since Sept. 3. On that day the missing person was upset in the morning but unusually happy in the afternoon, according to her mother.

Burglary—Sept. 4, 11 a.m., Portal Avenue. The victim parked her car outside her apartment complex. The next day she discovered that someone had broken the driver's side rear window and entered the car. The suspect removed two stereo speakers, a cellular phone and the faceplate of the CD player. The suspect is still at large.

Auto Burglary—Sept. 4, 9:50 a.m., Portal Avenue. The victim parked and locked her truck in a parking stall on Portal Avenue. When she returned the next day, she found the driver's side door open and the window broken. The dashboard and the radio had been damaged. In addition, her cellular phone, pocketknife and approximately $5 had been taken. No witnesses or suspects have been identified.

Vandalism—Sept. 4, 1:15 a.m., Mary Avenue. The unknown suspect(s) used a sharp object to puncture all four tires of the victim's vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot on Mary Avenue. The estimated damage is approximately $600.

Grand Theft—Sept. 3, 1:25 p.m., Bubb Road. The victim placed her purse in the bottom drawer of a file cabinet in her office before leaving to get coffee. When she returned, she found the file cabinet drawer partially open and her purse open. She discovered that some jewelry was missing. The victim suspects a carpet layer who was installing baseboards in the area of her office at the time of the incident.

Vehicle Theft—Sept. 3, 1:10 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. The victim parked her vehicle in the parking lot of a local retail store. When she returned, her vehicle was not there. No keys to the vehicle were missing and she said the vehicle had been locked. A search of the area failed to locate the vehicle.
