Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Auto Burglary—Feb. 8, 12:08 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. While the victim had her vehicle parked at a local store, someone shattered the front passenger window and took her purse. The victim said that the purse contained her wallet, cash, driver's license, checkbook, and credit and debit cards.

Shoplifting—Feb. 6, 3:30 p.m., Bandley Drive. At a local market, two women hid $62 worth of shrimp in a backpack. A store employee detained one of the suspects after she left the store without paying for the shrimp. The woman struck the store employee and fled to the second woman's car. When the store employee attempted to stop the car, the woman who was driving accelerated, narrowly missing the store employee, who wrote down the suspect's license plate number. Both suspects were arrested and booked.

Auto Burglary—Feb. 5, 3 p.m., Wolfe Road. The victim said she parked and locked her car on the third level of the parking garage at a local shopping center at 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 5. When she returned at 2:50 p.m., she discovered that someone had broken into her car and taken her stereo and some CDs.

Residential Burglary—Feb. 4, 8:55 p.m., Alcazar Drive. An unknown person pried open a kitchen window, entered a residence and took a cell phone, a sleeping bag and a duffel bag containing toiletries. The burglary occurred between 3 and 8 p.m., when there was no one at home.

Residential Burglary—Feb. 4, 7:50 p.m., Pennington Lane. An unknown person entered a residence through a window in one of the bedrooms. The burglar searched the residence by looking in closets and drawers. At the time of the report, the victim did not find anything missing. Her neighbor said she saw some teens knocking on doors in the neighborhood at 3 p.m. that day.
