Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Theft by Access Card—March 1, 12:10 p.m., Grenola Drive. An unknown person used a woman's ATM/debit card without her authorization to make purchases on the Internet. The victim's total loss is approximately $240. The woman has since cancelled her bank card. The suspect is still at large.

Burglary—March 1, 11:40 a.m., Stevens Creek Blvd. An unknown person stole computers from office cubicles sometime between Feb. 28 and March 1. There was no sign of forced entry into the office building, which is not equipped with an alarm system. There is no information about the burglar.

Grand Theft—Feb. 27, 5:20 p.m., Wolfe Road. A man entered a local jewelry store and purchased a silver watch for $3,800. He paid for the item with a personal check. After a few days, the man's bank notified the store that his check had been returned unpaid due to insufficient funds. The bank confirmed that in recent months numerous checks belonging to the man were returned for the same reason. The persont was not available for a statement.

Grand Theft—Feb. 27, 4:15 p.m., Wolfe Road. On Feb. 27, the victim and two business associates went to a local restaurant for lunch. The victim had $1,200 in cash in a bank deposit bag in his inner jacket pocket. He took off the jacket when he arrived at the restaurant and didn't realize he'd lost the money until several hours after he left the restaurant.

Petty Theft—Feb. 27, 10:40 a.m., Homestead Road. The victim locked his bike under the carport at his apartment complex overnight on Feb. 26. The next day, the victim found that someone had stolen the bike's rear wheel and pedals. There is no information about the thief.

Petty Theft—Feb. 25, 1:45 p.m., Stokes Avenue. An unknown person removed five solar lights from the front walkway of the victim's residence. The victim was not home when the incident occurred. There is no evidence or witness to the incident.
