Resident performs in 'Dames at Sea' show

Cupertino resident Steven Anthony is performing in Tabard Theatre's Dames at Sea, a satirical spoof on Busby Berkeley feel-good movies from the 1930s, which were produced to lift the spirits of Americans struggling through the Depression. The Tabard Theatre Company, now in its second year, produces musical theater for the entire family. Dames at Sea runs March 7­22 on Fridays at 8 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the campus of South Valley Christian Church, 590 Shawnee Lane. Tickets are $10­$15. Nonprofit offers car donation program

Cupertino Community Services has recently teamed up with Donate For Charity, a company that specializes in processing vehicle donations for nonprofit organizations, to offer a new vehicle donation program. This program will allow Donate For Charity to pick up a donated vehicle, handle all the required Department of Motor Vehicle procedures, sell the vehicle at auction and distribute the net proceeds to Cupertino Community Services, which will use the money to fund its ongoing charitable programs. Donors will receive a receipt entitling them to use the fair market value of their vehicles as a tax deduction.

UCSC holds workshop on women's health

"Women's health issues in the middle years" is the topic of a workshop that is taking place at the UCSC Extension facility in

Cupertino. Offered by the University of California Extension Continuing Education, this workshop provides an overview of women's changing physical, emotional and sexual lives by studying women's cycles through pre-menopause into menopause. In addition, participants can get information on self-assessment, self-healing and making informed choices during this time of transition.
