The Saratoga Stake for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host a night with the Golden State Warriors on April 8, 7:30 p.m., at the Oakland Arena. Hall of Fame awards held on March 20

Tennis star Rosie Casals, Stanford and Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway, Warriors great Tom Meschery and record-setting jockey Willie Shoemaker will be inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame during ceremonies to be held March 20 at The Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.

Youth volleyball is holding sign-ups

The U.S. Youth Volleyball League is currently holding sign-ups for its eight-week spring program, which will begin April 10 at the field of Cupertino Library. The instructional league is open to players ages 8­14 and operates in a coed format. The $95 fee includes a uniform, an individual medal and equipment. The deadline to register is March 1.
