Local colleges offer business course

The Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs, a class offered by the De Anza­San Jose State Business Incubator program, will begin on April 8. The 10­week class will explore topics such as writing a business plan, accessing capital, tax planning, legal issues and marketing strategies. Students must be professionals who have started an actual business or are considering launching one. An information session will take place on March 27, 6:30­7:30 p.m.

Teen commission hosts second annual job fair

The Cupertino Teen Commission is hosting its second annual job fair on March 29. The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center, will help young people find employment as well as learn about different career fields. Job-shadowing and volunteer opportunities are also available.

Foundation hosts its annual Crab Feed

The Fremont Union High Schools Foundation is hosting its annual Crab Feed "FUN" Raiser on April 4, 5:30­8 p.m., at the Hinson Campus Center at De Anza College. The event will include a silent auction, a live auction and prize drawings. More than900 people attended last year's Crab Feed, which raised almost $40,000 to support each of the district's high schools. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased at district high schools and at the foundation office or by calling 408.773.1218.
