The bride is the daughter of Hakim and Rashida Mesiwala of Cupertino. The groom is the son of Walter and Catherine Fulde of Saratoga. The bride, 28, is a graduate of UC-San Diego and UC-Davis. She is an attorney in Sacramento. The groom, 36, is a graduate of UC-Irvine and San Francisco State University. He is a computer programmer in Sacramento.

Mesiwala says she likes Fulde for his kindness. The couple met on the Internet about a year ago. Through their email exchanges, they realized they must have met when they were little. Fulde's parents owned a Hello Kitty shop in Vallco Shopping Center, which Mesiwala and her friends used to frequent.

At their wedding, Mesiwala wore traditional Indian attire, while Fulde wore a suit.

"Although I have been assimilated into American culture, I wanted to keep my cultural tradition," Mesiwala says.

The couple honeymooned in Carmel and now reside in Davis, Calif.
