Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Theft—June 14, 10:50 p.m., Stern Avenue. The victim parked her vehicle in the driveway in front of her home on Stern Avenue at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 14. She left her purse on the passenger floor area. The vehicle was unlocked. She returned to the vehicle at about 8 p.m. Later that evening when she was at a local store, she found her wallet missing from the purse.

False Bomb Report—June 14, 6 p.m., De Anza Boulevard. The police responded to a bomb threat at a local restaurant on De Anza Boulevard. The officers searched the premises and did not find anything suspicious. They did not arrest anyone.

Vandalism—June 14, 11:15 a.m., Woodlark Road. Sometime during the night on June 14, the right front window of the victim's van was broken with an unknown object. The van was parked on the street in front of the victim's house. No entry was made to the van and nothing was taken from inside. The victim estimated the repair cost to be about $500.

Grand Theft—June 13, 6:45 p.m., Parkwood Drive. An unknown person went to the parking garage of a local apartment complex. He cut the cable that secured a motorized scooter, which was valued at approximately $540. The person took the scooter and is still at large.

Burglary—June 13, 3:40 p.m., Wolfe Road. A male subject entered a local store with a straight razor and a nail tool. He took two pieces of clothing into the fitting room, removed the sensors with the razor and hid the items. He then exited the store without paying for the items. He was arrested and booked in jail.

Battery on Peace Officer—June 13, 12:55 p.m., Edminton Drive. The victim called 911 and reported that her son had threatened to hurt himself. While the sheriff officer was at the victim's residence, her son assaulted the officer by striking the officer on the left shoulder and chest area with his head while the officer handcuffed him. The victim's son has since been booked into jail.

Robbery, Assault—June 9, 10 a.m., Pruneridge. The victim was riding his bicycle home after work and six Hispanic males stopped him. They threw him to the ground, kicked him in the ribs and took $40 in cash from his pocket. The victim was not able to provide descriptions of his attackers.
