Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

Grand Theft—June 17, 1 p.m., Rodrigues Avenue. The victim said he sold a keyboard over the Internet for $578. But he has not received the payment since shipping the keyboard to the buyer on March 29. He has tried to contact the buyer on several occasions, but the buyer has not responded to his emails and telephone calls.

Assault and Battery—June 16, 4:50 p.m., Cottonwood Drive. A man said his son came out of his room drunk and started an argument over money. The man said that during the argument, his son spat on him as the son was leaving the house; the son dented the wall in the house and broke the flowerpots outside the house. The man said his son came back a short time later and started arguing again. When he left the house again, he threw a portable telephone and broke it. The son was arrested later in the evening and booked into juvenile hall.

Auto Burglary—June 16, 11 a.m., De Foe Drive. An unknown person broke the rear left window of a locked car during the night of June 16. The burglar took 15 Korean music CDs and the faceplate to the car stereo. The subject also damaged the dashboard and stereo. Three latent fingerprint cards were prepared and submitted as evidence.

Auto Burglary—June 16, 5:05 a.m., Annette Way. A locked car was burglarized, with several items stolen, including a CD stereo. San Jose police stopped a white vehicle with four male juveniles inside. The car contained several stolen items, some of which have been identified by and returned to the victim. All four subjects have been arrested for auto burglary.

Missing Adult—June 16, 4:38 p.m., Dunbar Drive. On June 16, a sheriff's officer was dispatched to a residence on Dunbar Drive to respond to a report of a missing person. The reporting party said his brother had been missing since about 1 p.m. on June 14, when they'd had an argument over beer. The missing person might be headed to San Bernardino County.

Animal Attack—June 16, 8:40 p.m., Vista Knoll Boulevard. On June 16, a sheriff's officer was dispatched to N. Foothill Boulevard following a report of a dog bite. The reporting party said his son had been bitten by a dog and presented the address of the dog's owner. The officer took a picture of the injury. The reporting party said his son did not complain after the incident. The injury appeared to be a scratch, about one-fourth of an inch long and barely breaking the skin. The dog owner will quarantine the animal for 15 days.
