Pancakes served at
Quinlan Center July 4
Although the city has cancelled this year's Independence Day fireworks show due to budget cutbacks, the popular July Fourth daytime activities will still take pace at Memorial Park.
The morning begins with a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Quinlan Community Center.
A children's parade through Memorial Park will follow the breakfast. The day ends with a patriotic singalong at 10:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the De Anza Optimist Club of Cupertino and the Octagon clubs of the Fremont Union High School District, the breakfast is open to everyone.
The cost is $4.50 per adult and $3 per child. All proceeds will benefit the De Anza Optimist Club's youth activities.
