Officials needed
The Fermar Corporation is looking for high school sports officials for the upcoming fall season. Officials are needed for football, field hockey, soccer, girls volleyball and water polo.
Fermar, which has been providing officials for high school athletic events in the Santa Clara Valley since 1977, will hold meetings and clinics for those men and women interested in becoming officials. Training sessions will begin in June and July and will continue through the fall season.
Officials earn between $25 and $55 per game, depending upon the sport and level of competition (varsity, junior varsity, freshman), and also have the opportunity to work youth and adult sports leagues in the area.
No experience is necessary, though knowledge of the sport a prospective official wishes to work is important. Officials also work at their own schedule.
For more information, call Fermar at 408.296.7900 or visit www.fermarcorp.com.
