The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Missing person at risk—June 29, 5:10 p.m., Denison Avenue. A man reported that his wife was missing and was last seen at 3:30 p.m. on June 29. The woman was driving her car following the man to San Jose International Airport to pick up some family members. The victim has Alzheimer's disease and can be confused and disoriented at times. The victim eventually returned home at 6:25 p.m.
Vandalism—June 27, 8:30 a.m., Rollingdell Drive. Between 2 and 2:30 a.m. on June 27, an unknown person vandalized two vehicles parked on Rollingdell Drive in front of an apartment complex. The person walked on top of one vehicle and broke the glass of a side mirror. The person also broke the side mirror off of the other vehicle. The victims estimated the damage at $500 each.
Grand Theft—June 26,
9:20 a.m., Homestead Road. Sometime during the night between June 25 and 26, an unknown person unlocked an office in a local software company and stole a laptop computer and two other items from a desk. It is unknown who has keys to the office, as another corporation had recently purchased the company. The total value of the stolen property is about $425. There is no evidence of forced entry to the office.
Burglary—June 26, 8:20 a.m., Blaney Avenue. An unknown person broke the front glass door at a local store and stole some cigarettes, lottery tickets and $300 in cash. The office of the sheriff was not able to gather any evidence or latent prints from the scene.
Burglary—June 26, 8:10 a.m., Torre Avenue. An unknown person broke the passenger's side window of a locked vehicle and took the stereo. The stereo was valued at approximately $200.
