A man suspected of attacking women on numerous occasions was arrested on June 6 during a decoy operation. His name is being withheld.
Female deputies from the Santa Clara County Office of the Sheriff went undercover in the area that's believed to be his "attacking
location," which is bordered by Blaney Avenue, Bollinger Road, Lawrence Expressway and Stevens Creek Boulevard.
According to Sgt. Skip Shervington, the city's community resource coordinator, when the suspect tried to sexually assault one of the female undercover deputies, detectives watching nearby quickly arrested him.
The person is suspected of assaulting eight other women between March and May 28. In the last two known cases, which took place on May 28, the suspect allegedly grabbed a victim's breasts while she was at the pool in her apartment complex at the intersection of Homestead and Stelling roads. Two hours before that, the suspect allegedly grabbed another victim between her legs while she was loading her children into her car on Disney Lane.
The victims described the man as a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and between 120 and 150 pounds.
At this time, no additional information about the suspect has been released.
