Cupertino's first dentist retires, heads for Greece

John Ludwig, who opened the first dentist's office in Cupertino after he and his wife Sandra moved to the city in 1969, is retiring. The couple had planned to simply enjoy the company of their five grandchildren in retirement but instead they are bidding farewell to their family and their home in Cupertino and heading for a three-year stay in Athens, Greece. They are going as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will be overseeing some 100 missionaries working in Greece, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. John says they are also hoping to work at the Olympics in Greece next year.
